UTSI Tech Rebuild Process

UTSI Tech takes pride in delivering top-quality rebuilds of your equipment. The Signode automatic circling machines, using 32mm steel straps, are powered by either the reliable M410 strapping head or the innovative M24/7 modular head. These heads offer sealed, clamped, and welded types, ensuring their effectiveness across various applications. The Signode CH series machines are specifically designed for strapping high-diameter flat-rolled coils. With options for different production line configurations, multiple strapping heads can be used simultaneously to reduce strapping time by applying more than one strap in a single cycle.In this strapping head rebuild our team followed a detailed and thorough process to get it to near new condition.

Here’s what UTSI did:

1. Full Disassembly: We disassembled the strapping head completely and removed each component for individual attention.

2. Cleaning: Each part was cleaned to remove dirt, debris and any buildup that could affect performance.

3. Visual Inspection: A visual inspection of all parts was done to look for any signs of wear or damage. This step allows us to identify any compromised components early.

4. Replacement of Worn Parts: Any worn or damaged parts were replaced with new high quality components for long term functionality.

5. Painting and Surface Treatment: Where needed castings were repainted and black oxide finishes applied to maintain durability and professional appearance.

6. Electrical Component Replacement: All electrical components were evaluated and any that showed signs of failure or wear were replaced with new parts to ensure safety and efficiency.

7. Air Lines and Fittings: We replaced all air lines and fittings to prevent leaks and ensure the system runs efficiently all the time.

8. Full Reassembly: After replacing and restoring all parts we reassembled the strapping head according to manufacturer specs to ensure precision and alignment.

9. Testing: A test was done to verify the strapping head’s performance to ensure it meets all operational standards.

10. Back to Production Ready: Once tested, the strapping head was returned to production-ready status and is functioning near new for reliable, high-quality operation. This process ensures your equipment will run optimally, extend its life, and reduce future downtime.
